I am a good person by PaMikoo I am a good person by PaMikoo
Picture speaks for itself.

This picture, and all characters in it belong to me.

All the textures were made by me, except the dripping one at the end. That one is from [link]

NOTE - These are fictional characters.

And the worst part: You could have married her, if our government wasn't an evil piece of SHIT!!!!! Government should not be allowed in religion, if two people, regardless of sex, want to marry each other, but their church won't allow it, then they should be able to go down to city hall, and get their marriage license like an other couple in the world.

I know you wish to speak for the same-sex marriages, but this is actually a wrong way to do it: the right to see the people important to you when they're sick or using your health insurance to save their lives shouldn't, by any means, be exclusively married couples' right in the first place!

No, they are not fictional characters.  I know this woman. I knew her partner.  I went to the funeral.

You may not have known them when you drew it, but the situation is real and the people in this situation are real.

And there's probably thousands more than the ones I knew.

I don't understand the principle behind not letting people see their dying partners. What do people get out of stopping two intensely upset people from consoling one another?

This is powerful.  With a few images you illustrated the reality that so many in the LGBTQ community face on a daily basis.  In America queer couples are taking their home state governments to court to fight for the right to marry, yet there are a few couples that do not have time on their side.   Amy Sandler and Niki Quasney were granted marriage rights in Indiana while the trial is pending.  Niki is terminally ill and  battling cancer.

This image has touched so many people already.   Thank you.

the way humans treat their own puzzles me, they have the means to save a life but are held back for fear of losing their power to help.

why offer to help and then say you can't?

why do they carry on such hateful and thoughtless methods?

do humans enjoy torturing others? or are they tortured themselves, trapped in a system that promises safety and happiness, and endless feeling of power yet powerless to act,
their minds torn apart by an unknown endless fear of their own kind.

Dang...

I wish stupid people would just open their eyes to the fact that who you love, what race you are, or what religion you follow don't matter

We're all human beings in this world

Damn...I'm almost in tears seriously this needs to be addressed. Some religious nuts say that a same sex couple can't get married because their THOUSAND year old book states it. It tears at my heart strings and infuriates me that things like this happen.

The part of this comic that hurts the most is that the people who most need to read it (and learn from its moral) probably never will... But that doesn't mean that we can't still try.

Can there be a happy version of this story? Why can there be happy endings, Love is a strong weapon, chemical, and Spell that nothing cannot be broke. I think i will draw the part the the main character finds ancient magic-tech from a long lost (but not dead) race, that will not only raise the dead, but also makes the target and user immortal. Love is Power.

I don't think we can call yourself a doctor as long as you work in a system that doesn't allow you to treat patiences because of insurances.

(that aside from the homophobia question).

Beautiful piece! Simple and strong. Thank you for making this, I hope people will stop to think about your message!

Fictional or not...

I'm crying. :( </3

Unfair fucking system. Love is love. No matter what the genders are. We have people like Kim Kardashian making a mockery of the institution of marriage and what it stands for but people who honestly and deeply love each other - and who perfectly support the ideals of what a marriage can and should be - can't be together just because they have matching genitals? SERIOUSLY?!

While I hate the homophobia, I'm still a bit stuck on the "We could save your life, but we won't because you don't have the money." The non-acceptance of insurance because of homophobia is terrible, but do US citizens honestly allow death to happen for no reason but being poor, and still maintain they are a moral authority in the world? I don't even know if you can consider your country a first world nation with this.  It's horrifying. "We have the skills, time, and technology to save your life.  If only you had saved a little bit more money. Guess we'll just watch you die and rationalize it through capitalism."

I spied this on my friends computer before she snapped it shut.
She's scared that she might feel this one day... I want her to be happy with the one she loves, no matter what happens. Society cannot stand in the way of love forever. The world needs to change in many ways, but some ways quicker than others if we want to be peaceful.

Luckily, things have changed a lot in the last 40 years. In fact, I think the only state in which you could definitely get gay marriage in just ten years ago was California. Today, 9 of the 50 states (Connecticut, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Vermont, Washington, ten if you count the District of Columbia). Together, they make up 15.791% percent of the population. Considering Delaware will join this club less than a month from now and Minnesota and Rhode Island will join two months from now, that brings the population percentage up to 18.132%. There's obviously still some ways to go, but considering most of my generation considers what sexuality you are as akin to what hand you favor, I'd say that 50 years from now, the gay rights movement will be seen in the same light we see the Civil Rights Movement today.

It is just another form of racism, basically. Someone is different, so they aren't getting the same rights and don't count as being worth the same as others. It's sad and so, so stupid.

Sometimes, I wonder why it matters what gender someone is attracted to. Why does it? It doesn't matter what there gender is, what matters is that you love them, and they love you. My mother always tells me that there are people who hate homosexual people, but I don't see why they should. She even told me that some people have even killed homosexuals because of who they are. I hope someday people won't be like this.
